Founder and Managing Partner

Prashant Jain is the Founder and Managing Partner of Samisti Legal. His practice spans private equity and venture capital, start-up and angel investments, foreign investment and FEMA advisory, capital markets, structured debt, corporate acquisitions, joint ventures and business restructurings. He advises on mergers, demergers, slump sales, leveraged and management buyouts, and public-market transactions, including IPOs.
He has advised on complex domestic and cross-border transactions and regulatory matters involving the Companies Act, SEBI and RBI frameworks, foreign portfolio investment, and registrations and approvals concerning financial services businesses. His experience includes negotiating investment and financing documents and commercial arrangements across infrastructure, technology, media, power, real estate, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, logistics, healthcare and retail.
Prashant also advises on corporate disputes and insolvency matters, as well as real estate transactions covering title diligence, acquisitions, mortgages, financing, licensing, construction and related disputes. He was named among Legally India’s Top 50 Corporate Dealmakers for 2018–19. He is enrolled with the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh, is a member of ICSI and previously taught Economic Laws at the ICSI Hyderabad Chapter.
