Anita Dugar is an Associate Partner at Samisti Legal, with a practice focused on corporate transactions, private equity and venture capital investments, start-up financings, acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate restructurings. Her work includes mergers, demergers, slump sales and transaction structuring.
She advises on corporate law, FEMA, SEBI regulations, listing requirements and corporate secretarial matters, and is involved in drafting, reviewing and negotiating investment and commercial documentation. Anita has also represented clients before the National Company Law Tribunal in merger-related proceedings. Before joining the firm, she worked with corporate organisations and a law firm in Kolkata.
Anita is part of the firm’s core team. She was featured in The Enterprise World’s “20 Prominent Women Lawyers to Watch in 2020”. She is a member of ICSI and holds a law degree and a commerce degree from the University of Calcutta.
